Conservative MP Althia Raj is warning Liberal MPs of a new threat: “Open letter from Liberal MPs to Mr. Trudeau. Don’t ignore us anymore.”
“As a government we were elected to make life better for Canadians,” Raj says. “We are already in your face raising these issues. Canadians are tired of being harangued and droned over these issues again and again and again.
“This government has done little else but play pretend.”
The letter reads in part: “You are ignoring us, and that is not acceptable.”

Says Raj: “Prime Minister Trudeau, there are two options.
“You can either be a leader and lead, or become a puppet of the Foreign Affairs and Environment ministries who are out of touch with the needs of Canadians and, instead, look to the fringes of the Liberal Party for advice. Either way it is unacceptable.”
She adds: “In your mind, most Canadians are receptive to your views and have fallen under your spell. That is pure nonsense. Canadians are smart enough to know that those views are not credible. In fact, they often cross the lines that say he is not appropriate to be the Prime Minister.
“Folks, we will not be divided into Democrats and Republicans. We want a Canadian First PM who sees us the same way.”
Her open letter to Justin Trudeau comes after four more recent independent reports showed a Trudeau government has lost control of the Foreign Affairs portfolio, recently blaming first minister’s QP to explain foreign policy statements for all Liberal MPs.
Raj blames Trudeau’s cabinet as the “most left-wing in recent Canadian history”.
“I have never seen a Liberal government function this poorly, or provide information such as it does to Canadians, or support our great principles that put our country in a better position,” Raj says.
She says Canada is in a terrible situation right now “at our doorsteps”.
“We have an addicted, anti-development oil sector. We have a war on road conditions with improved safety to 25 cents per mile. We have so much in common with any conservative government,” she says.
Raj adds that science to combat climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions has disappeared from the Liberal policy document.
“We have a federal government which does not know what it is doing and does not seem to care. I do not take delight in this, but if Mr. Trudeau does not wake up to the situation he is in, we will.”
